Shift Cable Replacement

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody knows how to replace the shift cable in a 95 automatic. I'm about 90% sure that mine is shot, because I can no longer shift gear, and that's causing me some problems. Thanks!

Okay, I got under the car to figure it out, found the cable, and saw two things: the cable is shot, and that there are four points that it is attached to the car. They go (in order from shifter on interior to tranny): at the shifter, a small bracket on the frame that holds the cable, another bracket that holds the outside of the cable so that the metal insides can move, and then the transmission itself. Now, I managed to unhook it from the shifter and the tranny, but does anyone know how to unhook it from the two brackets? Please help!
