Re: My turbo build up!

The turbo kill will be done in 3-4 weeks.

And then It will get put on in a *** busting 16hour day....

Unless I can find a 4.2L long block or a Low Mileage 3.8L long block. It should be done before September is over.

Nice to meet you Kyle, my name is also Kyle

Compression check & safe tune ftw! Some of the turbo guys are running on JY blocks just thrown in, one guy even ran no tune for like 8months before his went up in flames.

Re: My turbo build up!

Alright so....
3.8L is just not enough for me and neither is a 207/215 cam...

With that said the supercoupe block is leaving for a 4.2L & bigger cam.
Turbo setup goes to jet-hot wed (yay tax returns)
new body kit should come within the next month followed by new rims for the car.

This SHOULD get done within the next two weeks... However this semester A&M is kicking my *** already.

And Just some random pictures:

No bent pushrods here

No lower intake

Re: My turbo build up!

Don't ask, I had an "oil leak" that I should have kept my eye on... And I felt like doing a few 100mph runs down a back road with the LiveWire to data log... Anyway Lesson for today? Low Oil + Metal that needs oil to hydro plain on = spun rod bearing! Anyway I'm rebuilding the block now [gave me an excuse] anyway I bought a valve spring compressor to take off the valve springs and found I've got a bent valve (intake) explains the erratic way my car used to act its prob been like that for a year or more.

Anyway so block has been at the machine shop, getting cleaned, honed, heads milled .030, etc. Comp 918s & custom reatines, 22x/22x custom camshaft. Should be running by wed-thursday next week n/a. Going with ford MLS gaskets, clevite(sp?) bearings, replacing everything so it'll basically be a new motor..

Re: My turbo build up!

Had the machine shop do a 3angle valve job, and mill .030 on the heads. I did the port work, and put on ssms valve springs and retainers good for .600 lift
