Need a part

What is the plastic "cowl"- I think it's called, at the outside base of the windshield- near the wiper arms, called? I cannot locate one in my searches, possibly because I'm not sure what it is actually referred to. Thanks

My bad.

It's cracked a bit, and I should have mentioned this is for a '98 base Coupe.

Those things are so sun damaged that you have to be a surgeon to take one off and not break it. I snapped mine last week lol but they are expensive as hell. $150 on American muscle. Or you can search eBay for the 3 piece ones. They're like $60 not sure how they look on the car though

Yeah, you're speaking about the wiper cowl. They all go bad over time. They're in direct sunlight all the time and 20+ years old. I replaced the one on my 2004 Mach 1 a few years ago. They're difficult to get off cleanly but it almost doesn't matter since you're replacing it.

Let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance in the near future!

Yeah for sure. Hearing a snap when removing something is always a shock. I would love to see my face whenever I snap something or drop a bolt. However, the beautiful sound of a bolt/tool hitting the ground when you drop it in the engine bay is a beautiful thing!

I've been there and done that! My 7MM socket is somewhere behind my radio. When installing the Raxiom Navigation it went MIA. I hear it bounce around once in a while, haha!

Just got a new cowl for mine. I decided if I ever got the windshield wiper working I would buy a new one. Had to rewire the wipers.

I forgot about the need for the cowl

I'm living with the cracked one ,,, or should I say, my son is living with the cracked one.

And he is cool with it.
