How much better is traction with a t lok?

I can chirp into second gear real good in my tuned auto with 245 nittos, if a got a t lok (no gear swap) do you think my tires would stay planted? What if I threw 3:73s in?

My 4.2 when I still had the stock 2.73 open diff would peel out for quite awhile if I wanted it to. When I swapped in a 8.8 with 3.27's it grabs almost instantly and pulls. A lot more traction than I had before.
When it was raining I floored it while doing about 10, and it spun the tires.
I like how it grabs and pulls instantly. Helps at the drag strip.

Is it worth buying gears for an auto?

Yeah its worth it. Why wouldn't it be. The gears put more torque to wheels. You loose top speed and some mpg's, and gain acceleration. It'll also go up hills easier.

If you don't care about mpgs and just want acceleration/performance get the 4.10s. I wouldn't even look at the 3.73's. If you wanted good mpg's you can get 2.73's or 3.27's. When I had 2.73's I averaged 28 mpgs on a trip and that was going over a bunch of hills and turns.

If you have a auto get 4.10s. If you have a standard the option is yours. You will burn more gas on the interstate with 4.10s on a standard. You will burn more gas period. But the difference is noticeable as the rpms climb.
8.8 10-14% faster/ 5-6% more gas
8.8 with 3.73-4.10s 20-24% faster/10-12% more gas
Basically the gears keep you in the powerband

A standard has a steeper overdrive. It will always get better mpgs.
