Throttle body?

Should I buy the 65 mm throttle body with the SR CAI from AM?

You have to port and polish the upper intake for this to work. o see the first o/0 now look at the second 0. You will need to port the 5mm difference into where the tb connects to the intake. People get 210hp 240 tq without upgrading tbs. compared to the stock 190/210. Add a 10% loss in power due to age of the your motor.

Skip.. Spend your money on exhaust.. Or gears.. CAI isn't a bad idea.. But skip the TB

You can rip out the rubber tubing that goes into your fender and put a cai air cleaner onto your tube coming out of the throttle body. Save money for a 8.8 gt rear end with 3.73 gears

recommend getting a tb spacer. It added about 200rpms to my factory tune. The tb spacer adds length to the runners. This makes the air travel path longer adding more tq. Do not expect the same results. I have a different intake. But you will see slightly different results for $65.

You can find a rear for 100, then the gear kit is like 280. Feels like a complete different car

If you just have duel exhause then go with a CAI and then a tuner. After those two slap a 8.8 rear end with some 3.73 gears (auto is 4.10 geRs) and you'll be very happy. After that it's the expensive mods lol

Notice my mods. I may get a small gain from a throttle body, but it is not required till I hit 400 hp.
Market horse power 101
Let me explain this the best I can.
First you must understand marked horse power.
For example: A v-6 under drive pulley gains 8 market hp.
What they do not explain to you is that they revved the engine the engine to the limit, to figure out the max hp. The daily driver will not rev. there engine to max rpms and jump off every red light and gain 8 hp.The average person will gain 1 hp. Dependent on average rpms.

Understanding perfect conditions at a dyno: The weather will effect your dyno. if perfectly tuned. How many mods a company has added before fixing the weak link, is not explained when you buy the part. I may gain 5 hp from a throttle body. notice the mods I do have. When a company tells you, this product will add 5 hp. they are not required to tell you how many mods they added to make the mod they are selling gain hp. Now you understand the basics of marked hp.
