Hey guys, ive been searching and cant find any real answers on this. can i put a t56 6speed transmission in a 95 v6 mustang
. now i've been looking and i see that the main problem with doing this is that the bellhousing wont work. ive also found that the 5.0 and the 3.8 use the same bolt patter on the bellhousing, with a few differences. i know people say theres issues with using a 3.8 bellhousing on a 5.0 (the starter being the main problem) But is that is it the same problem with putting a 5.0 on a 3.8? the reason i ask this is because i found an aftermarket bellhousing for a 5.0 engine to put a t56 transmission in. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/qt...FSZp7Aodv1kABQ
my question is, if the bolt patterns are the same on the 5.0 as the 3.8, shouldnt this bellhousing work on a 3.8?
Before anyone chimes in asking why i want to do this swap, this 3.8 isnt going to be stock. ive already done the supercoupe swap and i'll be putting a stroked 4.2 in. the main reason i want to do this is to have a unique car and say i did it.
