Tell everyone your favorite mod

It's kind of had to decide which one was my favorite. So I am trying to get some other peoples opinions.

4.2 swap or 8.8 rear-end... those are the biggest mods I've done.

The 4.2 is a great mod. One of my future mods. I was just going to do performance heads and a 207/215 .05/.05 @112 lsa cam. But after doing research the 3.8 gains 40 hp. at the rear wheels, but loses 30+ tq. with per. heads and a cam. The only solution I see is putting in a 4.2 crank. The 4.2 mod is the one everyone ask about, but is seldom accomplished.
I am still searching for a 8.8. Everyone keeps beating me to them at the pull apart junk yards.

4.2 is a great mod, wish I had split port heads( I like 94-98 bodies better). Also the my engine doesn't pull much after 3k, I don't know if its the heads or the can that's causes that though.

I go to the junkyard every once I. A while. You can find plenty of 8.8 there from junk 2vs. You can find plenty of irs from mark 8s too!

Couldn't tell you about prices though I've never asked. Your best bet is to go on those 50% off days!

IRS is a hard swap, and not really worth it from what I've read. The irs mostly just adds more parts that wear out.

Hmm idk I've never messed with one, but I thought i would throw that out there as an option if he decides to go out to a junkyard in search of a differential. Like I said both the sra and irs are plentiful

From what I understand it is your cam. Some big valves would not hurt either. I think these are the big valves for your year------------->small block Chevy 11/32 stem 4.890 overall length 1.940 head standard keeper offset. A machine shop will know better than me. Just a idea for the future like my 4.2 crank in the closet.

They are $65 at my pull apart junkyards. The recycle centers charge $500. I am waiting for a good deal.
I can not find a write up on a Mark 8 rear end swap. From what I understand it can be done. But, it's not easy. If you find one please let me know.
I know how to do a Cobra IRS rear, the Marks have different rear frames.

Here are some basic facts, because post on other sights were getting confusing.

I honestly like changing the wheels up. Some of the factory wheels on earlier mustangs were awful. As far as performance you can't beat a supercharger. I'll have it once I can afford...
