ran my best time......ever....at the track!

Hey whats up! After years very hard work, toil, labor, and tremedous amounts of money fixing my own mistakes.......finally! Progress! Ran my supercharged 01 V6 Mustang at the track this past saturday test & tune, 1st hit, dropped a 12.9 @ 106mph!

Yes, I'm well aware it'll do more, spare the chastisement. Hence my post, any idea's as to how to shave another .9-1sec off?!

1st pass ran my M/T E/T streets at about 15lbs then dropped them to about 12-13lbs there after and ran consistent low 13s all afternoon. Launched at the tree at little over 2k(as I have a 2800stall). trans is set in 3rd w/O/D off. idk, think that covers it.

Any ideas as to shave some more time off? tricks? any more parts I can remove to shave weight?

Look forward to seeing what you guys have to share

Rear seat delete? Check AmericanMuscle for some professional kits, although I'm sure you could find some cheaper.

Congrats! Any new personal best is impressive in my eyes. It means you're doing something right and improving yourself and/or Mustang!

Give us a run down of all the mods on your Mustang. The more details the better! If we know exactly what you have, it will be easier to figure out how to shave off another second in the quarter mile.

I also suggest posting up all the stats from your time-slip!

Shane

sorry for the hiatus, almost forgot about this post.

Badbradd, my 60 was 1.98

h1ck, my r/t was 1.83. tires, run m/t e/t streets. ran about 15lbs of press that run. Suspension, I have 00 V6 mustang front shocks, and the softest shock O'reily's sells for the back. Launch, I had it stalled it up a little over 2k.

david, lol, you's got's joke's

Xaperez100, that 12.9 would be the 1/4.

thank you Xaperez100. worked very hard for a very long time to get it where it is now. This whole, not planning on taking the motor out for one reason or another, is a whole new experience for me.......and...I like it. Having to only focus on what I need to do to dial in quicker times. Tire pressure, weight reduction, other mods, etc. I'm excited to see what God and this year have in store for me with my V6. I've been told, with my mods, I should see something in the 11s, but......right now......I'd tickled all kinds of colors if I can dial out about 1 more second.

You are asking- This is just my opinion.

Get a set of Magnaflow Comps ( Replace those stock muffler corks)

Do away with the "H" pipe and go for a good Magnaflow ""X"" pipe.

Keep a very clean filter on the Super Charger.

Run maximum amount of air in your front tires.
Ronnie

Damn that's quick for a v6. How much did it cost for your whole setup?
