Starting Modifications on 2003 V6

Want to get some opinions on where is the best place to start with modifying my V6? Want to get some Horsepower and performance. What are some of the first things I should do to get started?

Thanks. I will look into it. What engine did you put into your Mustang? I want to do new exhaust and pipes, throttle body spacer and cold air intake. Which CAI did you use?

I have a 4.2 cold air intake and manifold, but a 3.8 engine. It adds a lot of tq but goes higher that the stock hood. It takes a Cobra r hood because of the height. So I can not help you much there.
I am a big fan of the Pipes duel exhaust set up sold by American Muscle. Some people do not like it and every one says it sounds raspy. My uncle has a 68 with a cam and direct x also. I like his setup and the Utube sound I hear on the internet with Pipes and my future cam. Pipes has 409 steel, direct x,shorty cats, and big pipes. You may like it or want Flow Masters. All CAI's are the same look at the SR CAI on AM or look on eBay. TB spacer won't do much if anything. Exhaust, gears, T-loc and tune. Are the best place to start.

Check out the RTUNES CAI on eBay. $70, great quality.
I'll be getting a TB spacer and some flowmasters soon. I'm so dang broke, it's tough to be able to soup up your baby with no money
Check out what I got so far though (:

Start with a tuner and CAI combo kit from AM. Best bang for your buck and you get free mods in the future for when you add more to your car.
