Any good modifications?

I just got my first mustang an '01 v6 automatic. I've looked into getting a cold air intake. What else can I do to make it a little meaner or make it little faster or anything that'll help make it better? Also what are some good, inexpensive stereos to replace the stock stereo?

Any good modifications?

If you swap the 7.5 rear end for a GT 8.8 with 3.73 gears, it will accelerate faster 4.10 gears are even better but definitely not suggested for a daily driver. Also a CAI, with a throttle body. H-pipe dual exhaust is nice. A new coil pack is nice too. Throw in a tune and you've got a nice noticeable improvement.

Also stereo wise, you could take just about any stereo and stick it in that slot.

depending on the type of mod you want. If you want a mechanical mod. Most mods add 10 or less hp. You will foul yourself into thinking you fell a intense difference because of positive attitude and having a lead foot. If you put your car on a dyno you will see the difference in numbers. But because our car are heavy it's hard to fell any less than 15 hp.

One mod. you can defiantly tell the difference on is a tuner. A tuner can add 5 hp and you can tell the difference immediately. There is something about fine tuning and the difference is night and day.

Yes, a 8.8 with gears will make a significant difference but you will gain no hp. Your 0-60 will be shortened significantly. One guy said, "it's like adding 2 more cylinders".

The choices are yours and you can not go wrong with adding most mods. Welcome!
