Electrical

I've got a 1999 V6 mustang that has want I think, are some electrician problems. The radio which is stalk doesn't work and I knew this when I bought, just figured I'd buy a new system etc. although since I bout the car I've had this happen to me twice. I turn on my car and the left blinker is on. No the knob is not in the down position. If I move it up into the right clicked it turns the 4 ways on but if I press the hazard button on and turn it off then it stops. Once an awhile the radio comes on and off when it wants and once in a blue moon the odometer flickers. Any ideas? At first I thought it was just the radio but now i think it may be more.

To fix the turn signal you must replace the multifunction switch. Autozone calls it the turn signal switch and it is $85.

Your welcome, my odometer always flashes. You can not replace the cluster because of the PATS system. Some people repair them on Ebay, but you would not be able to drive your car while the cluster is being repaired. The dealership can fix it but your better bring the bank with you =( The cluster has to be programed to your PATS system. I cheat the miles LOL by the odometer shutting down.

Alright. Well my dad's pretty good with cars and has a mustang which he's also working on and upgrading so I'm sure he can do it so maybe I'll ask him to check it out with his mechanic buddies if it gets worse. Because it doesn't do it all the time. The worst thing is the radio flickering on and off but I'm not sure if it's electrical or just the radio is a peice of **** because it's the original one lol

It's probably the radio. It could also be 2 powers or a ground. It's hard to tell without taking the radio out and testing the wires while the radio does not work. Probably something for your dad to look at. I am sure he has a volt meter or a test light.
