It's official, she's Supercharged

Just got my 2000 V6 back from the shop today. Put on a Procharger Stage II Supercharger w/ Intercooler & Custom Tune on her. Upgraded to 39 1/2 lb injectors and a new fuel pump as well. Haven't got it dyno'd yet so no official HP numbers but will know soon. She runs amazing and the car accelerates like a monster! Saved up all winter for this mod and it was SO worth it, lol.

Thanks man, I know sixers always get put down with the whole "You should've supercharged your GT" or whatever, but this was the first car I ever bought with my own money as well as my first Mustang. It deserves some appreciation lol

Post the dyno numbers for sure! Been thinking about doing this mod, and I absolutely agree about people downing sixxers because they aren't GTs. My first car is a 2000 v6 too, and I've been driving it for years.

Very sweet! 9psi will definitely make your Mustang into a monster. Congrats on your first Mustang and Procharger!

Keep an eye on that 7.5 rear end of yours. It won't take much to destroy the differential or snap an axle. I'd plan for an 8.8 rear end swap for the future.

Glad you enjoy the new power!

Thanks for the comments guys! I actually changed out the gears in my rear end to 4.10s but does that mean I still need to do a swap?
The kit can go up to 11 psi but I think I'll keep it at 9 till I do something with the internals and all.

It means you will soon need a rearend like the one in your other mustang in your signature. 8.8 bigger differential

Thanks man. The supercharger was a pretty penny. A little more than 4,500$. Installation was expensive too, because like I said I switched out the fuel pump and upgraded the injectors. Total the whole thing ran me about 8K. But again, so worth it

Yes you'll still need to consider a rear end swap in the near future, if you enjoy seeing the power your Procharger can make. Changing the gears to the factory differential is really strengthening the multiple weak spots of the 7.5 rear. Plus, I usually advice customer to not build their 7.5 rear up to handle more power because they're still too weak and unpredictable, unfortunately. Your best bet is an 8.8 rear swap from a Mustang GT.

Feel free to hit me up if you have any other questions!

Shane

It's official, she's Supercharged

9psi and stock everything else is around 260-270whp.

If you haven't already I would highly recommend getting an AF and boost gauge to monitor the car, sometimes it only takes one lean pull on a boosted car from something going wrong to destroy a motor!

In terms of literally internal strength 11psi won't be enough to harm the motor if everything is working properly as 11psi full exhaust cars only make 300-310rwhp.

Get some track times soon too! I wanna see how I compare with a stock motor procharger car haha

Pretty damn sweet. I personally couldn't drop 2x the cars value on 1 mod but more power to ya. Swap the rear end and you can beat the same years GT. Prolly the s197 GT also? Who knows. Your gonna shred that one tire if you don't get a new rear end. I couldn't imagine my car on 1 tire lol.. Damn.

Gotta say, it would be pretty sweet to lay a GT down and say "yep, it's a v6" lol
