Would it really be worth it?

So I've got all the issues on my 99 V6 sorted out and now I'm looking to add power. I added a CAI when I first purchased the car and now I'm looking at maybe buying a Bama tuner.

Car is currently sitting at 182k miles but runs fine, no leaks, but does hesitate under throttle, I believe it's the plugs and wires which I'll be replacing before anything else.

Would pouring $379 on the tuner be worth it for me, or should I stay away and go another route?

Thanks

It depends, if you are planning to keep the car for another couple of years or more so go for it, but if you are planning on selling the car soon just enjoy it as it is now.

if you get a tuner, every time you get a new mod. you can get a new tune. Except a udp. I think it is worth it.

Yeah, I'm probably going to drop money on it soon then and maybe eventually just buy a GT and go from there.

A tuner will definitely be a solid upgrade for your Mustang, but you need to make sure it's 100% mechanically sound first. I know you mentioned spark plugs and wires, which is great. Just make sure the hesitation you're experiencing goes away once you upgrade. Otherwise, there's still something else that needs to be fixed/adjusted.

As others have said, the best part about a tuner is you can set the car back to stock and use it on your next Mustang if you like. So it's not an upgrade that won't last its worth if you sell your current Mustang.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to contact me!

With a V6 how much of a gain should I expect if everything else on the car is solid?

We put a scanner on it yesterday and it's throwing absolutely ZERO codes.

Best mod ever. Lol. Such a simple fix, yet so noticeable.

I would get your car running fine before getting a tuner. Also if you have an auto another fun mod to do is the jerrys mod.
