Right after it sped back up it started making this loud noise ..sort of a squealing sound but the car was running fine and wasn't overheating.By the time I got home which was only a couple of miles I noticed it was more of a grinding metallic sound coming from the area of the transmission and when I got out of the car at home it smelled like transmission fluid when its hot. Nothing is leaking out of it. It still shifts fine but as soon as you start moving you can hear this sort of metal on metal sound and the faster you go the louder it gets. Any ideas as to what it could be or what I should check.
check tranny fluid lvl?
