87 turbo coupe rear end to 2004 mustang V6 swap!?

I was looking to upgrade my rear end to a LSD and lower my gear ratio too. I found a nice turbo coupe 8.8 rear end with a limited slip/ posi/ trac loc (whatever you call it) and with stock 3.73 gears (it was pulled from an auto). I've looked around a lot and I've done some research and it seems to be a direct bolt on to my car except it is 3/4 inches shorter from each side compared to my 7.5 axle. Is this true? Is it a simple bolt on other than the shorter ends?

Yea it will work, you might need to use the newer e-brake cables not 100%. Is it 4 or 5 lug.

It is a 5 lug, which makes it even easier right?

Yes just unbolt your 7.5 and use your upper and lower controller arms. This would be a good time to install the rear quad shocks and gt sway bar

Did the guy change the gears to 3.73. I think the turbo coupes came with 3.55s

I was thinking of doing the sway bar but are the quad shocks worth it? Is that for comfort and softer driving on bumps and stuff?

Just keep in mind if you use the quad shocks with aftermarket wheels you will need to install them backwards for clearance since the rear end being a little shorter.
