Sporadic starting issues..

Most of you guys have seen me around here and know that I'm mechanically challenged. So this may be an easy fox. Anyway:

I drive a 2000 v6 manual. Brand new battery. Everything works fine on the car, except this one issue. Randomly, and I'm talking anywhere from a week to a month, my stang won't start. It's not an issue I have daily. I am stumped. Anyone else have this issue or know what it could be?

Thanks in advance, guys. You rock!

What exactly are you saying? Can you hear the starter engage or silence when you try to start the car?

I can hear the starter engaging on the first try, then I have to jump the car to get it started.

does your cd player turn off? I had this weird problem where my cd player will freeze and will just stay on, even if I shut the car off. I have to hit the reset button on the cd player.

Sounds like your having a power draw from a source on the vehicle, and it could also be a weak alternator.

CD player shuts off with the car.

When the car is running I get full power.

Had my alternator and battery tested at autozone, both good.
