Yes there are various aftermarket shifters that u can change into yours. Im planning on that soon too. The stock one is boring and ugly. Check amazon, american muscle, ebay motors, and even google search "94-04 mustang automatic shifter knobs"

If you buy the one from american muscle yes and I think some guys get a toggle switch for it. The billet knob on am looks best IMO and has the OD button

My interior has the carbon fiber kit. And that part would look more out of place than the stock shifter

Tossed out that hideous 90's Taurus era shifter and dropped this in.

UPR Products polished shifter ball and a factory 5spd shifter boot I got for $10 at a junk yard. The satin silver bezel trim ring came from MPS Auto Salvage in Georgia.

I did relocate the O/D button, which is the toggle switch mounted on the left in the bezel in the second pic.

If I never turn off my overdrive is there any use in relocating the button? I dont ever see a reason to turn it off lol, it just wastes gas and has zero benefits when off

If if

Honestly I haven't found much reason to use mine, nor has anyone else I've talked to that has the option on their automatic.

I relocated mine mainly to still have the option active on the car.

Is it necessary, imo no..but it might deter someone for some reason if you're selling the car.
