Just bought and wanna make clean, any advjce

I just bought a 98 red convertible v6. The seats r leather and torn/ductape. The dash has a small crack, back plastic got rips in it. I wanna make it look clean and good. I can take all the dints out and replace the door and paint it red myself but far as interior goes I need help and advice. I was maybe thinking of seats out of an 05 or higher black cloth not leather. It gets really hot where I am moving . Idk what to do for the crack in dash. Please give me any advice. I want clean and comfertable. I am satisfied with the performance

Car could really benefit from waxing and cleaning up the headlights. I did that to my black 04 and its nice sitting and looking at it. I used Meguiar's Clay Kit, their pink car wash, Ultimate Polish, and their Cleaner Wax. And one of those fluffy drying towels from the auto section, the clay kit comes with a microfiber towel you can use for the polish and wax too. Then for the black trim etc Turtlewax's Trim Restorer. Headlights, get at them good with Meg's Plastx.

I think you can simply unhook the leather from the seats and get cloth ones as the actual whole seats seem to be really expensive, and even then they might not actually fit, since my 04 is smaller inside than my cousins 05 so imagine the difference between 98 and 05.

Could you upload pics of the interior parts?

Well I was gonna have my uncle paint the whole car and make the mirrors body color. I have been told I can get the cobra seats and good condition leather seats for 35 a peice at pick a part and pick n pull. I live in Indianapolis so we have 3 junk yards like that is where I will be getting most of my parts as I am poor lol. Oh and I got a duel hu and I replaced stock speakers with boss ones and they still sound like **** I disconnected the amp under the radio and ran 16 Gage wire to all the speakers. Do I just need to get high quality speakers just to sound descent. And is it a good idea to get some good quality 6x9 and put them behind the back seat like under the convertavle top next to my non working convrtable motor lol

Thats a really good price for the seats. As for the convertible motor, have you gone and checked the fluid in there? When I got mine it wasn't working, I went in and saw the fluid was black, so I flushed it and put new stuff in and it works. Idk much at all about the stereo as mine is stock.

It is better to pay a pro to fix a dash crack because they can match your paint up.
Option 2:
Take another dash apart at a pick apart. There are 11 main bolts holding it together. U can learn how on UTUBE. I changed my dash it was time consuming because of wires.

I have been looking at one just like this except it is a GT for $2,500. It has some really ghetto 20" chrome wheels on it. Still deciding.

I was thinking about getting the dash mat that goes on top. I think they stick on they are under 50... I can go rest of my life without having to take out another dash. There is over 100 bolts. Nuts and screws in the one I had to take out lol.so very time consuming. That's a good pprice for a gt long as not to much is wrong with it. I got this for 1500 and miri I took the fluid out so I am able to use the convertable with ease I don't have an extra 300 for the pump lol
