Mystery bucking

Hey guys, I have a 2000 base model auto with 237,000+ miles on it. The tranny was rebuilt 3 years ago, as was the rear end. I did the intake manifold gaskets and valve cover gaskets, replaced the MAF, DPFEGR spark plugs and wires. It needs a lot of work still but my main concern is the car bucks/shakes/knocks between 35 & 45mph with light pressure on the accelerator. I thought it was the MAF because the car ran better with it unplugged.

Any clues as to what could be causing it? The coil pack is my next bet.

Mine did this too, it would buck and jump around 2000 rpm no matter wat gear I was in, I replaced the throttle position sensor sea foamed my intake and disconnected my battery for 5 minutes then reconnected it and let it idle for 15 minutes so the computer could relearn its idle pattern, idk which one did it mine stopped doing it, probably the tps, it was like 30 bucks

I had the same symptoms, then I bought a new ignition coil and it fixed that
It's apparently a common issue. Replaced at 140k miles

Some information to add. The bucking goes away if the car it's in neutral and reduces of I take overdrive off. I'm starting to think it's transmission.

It's a Mustang, it's supposed to buck and jump. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Mine did the same thing... Autoparts stores will have the motorcraft coil for $100. See if that fixes it before you dig around your tranny
