3.73 Gears

I have an 03 V6 and was wanting to install 3.73 gears. I have quite a few questions about the gears and things surrounding them. Should I go with Ford Racing or Motive Gears, and why? I was also wanting to install a LSD. What years of a stock GT LSD would fit my rear end on my car? I don't have a lot of money to spend on a new LSD. Also, do I absolutely have to have a LSD with the gear swap? I know I would still do one wheel peels, but would there be any other real reason I'd need the Limited Slip. Would I still benefit performance and acceleration wise with just the 3.73 gears and no limited slip differential?

I'm pretty sure none of the gt LSD's will fit your rear.
They don't make LSD's for the 7.5 anymore either, they're hard to come by. I think someone here has one for sale though.
A GT rear will bolt straight up to the V6 body, with no modifications. If you want a LSD that's the way to go.
When I swapped a 8.8 gt rear end in to my mustang I noticed it gets traction instantly, it'll screech them for a little,( I only have 3.27's though, better than my stock 2.73's though)

The only thing to watch for in a 8.8 conversion is weather you have ABS or not. If you do not have ABS and the 8.8 you get does.........you will have to run the brake lines across the rear end your self. If you do have ABS it's easy. I figured out how to rig them. But I will not teach any one how to.

Well, if I don't get the LSD and just do the 3.73 gear swap will I see a decent gain in acceleration and performance? A complete rear end swap probably won't happen for me since my dad passed and he did all of my mechanic work. Will the gears be worth the cost and give me a good get up and go?

Yes you would.
I recommend the 8.8 swap with if your going to be getting lower gears.
Its actually a very easy swap. Its a bolt on mod.
I recommend getting a friend or two to help with lifting and maneurving the rearend, it's heavier than it looks.
