8.8 rear end with limited slip and 4.10s

Ive always wanted to get an 8.8 rear end with a limited slip and 4.10 (maybe 3.73) gears for my car. What do you guys think is the easiest way to go about this. I dont want wider or shorter axles. Is it just simply find a 99-04 GT rear end from a junk yard and put 4.10s in? How much should I pay for a used rear end like that?

I got mine for $200. But junk yards in my area want $600. It took me 4 months watching Craigslist to get a deal. Most pull apart junk yard want $100 but good luck finding a 8.8 there.

I bought a 7.5 axle with t-lok, new bearings, 4.10s already in for $100 yesterday from someone who swapped to an 8.8, found it on craigslist.

Keep an eye out for deals. Time spent now will be less money spent later

I bought a whole wrecked GT for $300, It had the stock 3.27's.
I also took it's exhaust and CAI. Sold it for $100 to a friend who wanted to swap the engine into a old ford ranchero.

To the OP, you're really going to have to do some digging. Watch Craigslist, junk yards, etc. I lucked out when my buddy started parting out his 01 gt. Got the 8.8 for $150. I had to pull it myself though. But it really isn't hard.
