04 gt or 99-01 cobra/v6 hood

First question that I have is the 99-01 cobra hood the same as the v6 hood. Do you guys/gals like the gt hood or the v6/cobra hood. I can't decide wat I wanna go with. Heres the latest pic of my ride, maybe yall can help me out with a decision to keep or get a v6/cobra hood:

I want to say all 3 have different hoods. V6's and GT's have the scoob (although different styles) and the cobra has a slight cowl hood with the head extractor in the center.

Regardless the v6 and cobras have different hoods. The v6s came that that little cheap looking scoop on it while the cobras didn't (even the 01 cobras)

Alright, time to clear some sh*t up.

99-02 v6's came with the forward facing small scoop (or indentation).
99-00 GT's came with the same exact hood. Both used the same plastic grille piece.

Some '99 35th Anniversary Special Edition GT's and '00 Spring Edition GT's came with a hood scoop, but it was a smaller overall scoop when compared to the 01-04 version.

01-04 GT's came with the same hood with the larger hood scoop attached to it.

Some 02-04 Pony Package v6's came with the same hood that the 01-04 GT's had.

All of the hood scoops for the above cars were non functional from the factory.

99 & 01 Cobras came with the small rear facing scoop (or indentation), which was again used on 03 & 04 v6's. The plastic inserts were different between the v6 and cobra hoods, but neither were functional.

The only functional hoods produced on the 99-04 normal production mustangs were the 03/04 mach 1's (shaker) and the 03/04 Cobras (extractor hood)

To the OP, I'd keep your GT hood unless you really want a different look. Most 03-04 v6 guys are wanting the GT hood so could you probably trade + cash as they are in more demand than the stock v6 hoods. Other than that look into a cowl or extractor hood.

Nice man, like I said the front of that car looks badass as sits now..good call on the coil overs, they will give that car a nasty stance.

Btw if you're ever bored of those Mach 1 heritage wheels let me know..really want a staggered set for my Mach.
