3.8L Mustang Clutch adjustment?

Just wondering everytime I pull away in my 02 mustang or shift gears and let out the clutch the pedal seems really loose and it starts " tapping " its getting worse now before you could just feel it on your foot.. im wondering if this could be cause a stretched cable. is there anyway to adjust it to hold me over until I order a new cable and quard.. thanks john

Sounds more like the throw out bearing it will make some noise when your off the clutch and you can feel it in the pedal

To adjust the clutch cable you must put your foot under the clutch petal and pull up.
