All components for V6 to 347 stroker

Let me start off by saying this has probably been asked before, but I've searched and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for...

Looking to swap my 3.9 V6 to a 347 stroker. That said, I would like to know all components that will need to be swapped out to accommodate the new engine.

For example, will I need to swap out the rear end (and if so, would one off of a GT work)? I believe my existing T5 manual tranny will bolt right up (302 stroked to 347), but would like to know for sure. New headers? New computer? Anything else (must swaps)? Starting a list of components needed and must swaps to make this happen.

Love my girl ('04 40th convert) and would love to keep her but want to get her some power as I'm kind of over the V6.

Appreciate feedback from others who have done this or mechanics.

Thanks!

here's some plot twists for ya. instead of goin push rod 347, which do not get me misconstrued, is all kindsa bada$$, how bout a step forward in time. a cyclone 3-7 with a procharger P-1SC w/3.2" pulley? Or, a coyote swap w/full bolt ons? nuther awesome swap would be a cobra motor swap 4v 4-6 with either a tremec 3650 or t56. You could go ****** strength and do an ecoboost 3-5 with a few mods. ALL are awesome options, even the push rod avenue of yours, ALL make good power stock, ridiculous amounts modded.

anywho, just thought I'd leave some different ideas on the table. I know you're brimming with your own ideas and are excited. I'm jealous of you, as I'm ready to do a motor swap project myself......soon

anywho, keep us posted. would love to see and hear progress

It would be smarter to just do an LSx swap with either a T56 or 4L60\80 ...

More power, less weight, HUGE aftermarket and cheaper than building a 347 to make any sort of decent power.

600 rwhp with just heads, intake, cam and nitrous.

an LS swap would be terrible! that would be step backwards. Yes, you'll make lots of power, but for how long. GMs terrible at making quality.......anything!

My Z28 has been putting down nearly 600 rwhp since 2006. Not a single engine issue at all. Can't say even the new Coyote 5.0 can do that, seeing as the pistons like to fail around those power levels.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about in regards to the LS engines. They are without question the greatest OHV V8's ever made.

GMs in general have had ****ty quality lately. But their drivetrains seen to be pretty solid.

Oh, you mean cylinder #7 being the sh&%y one round 700hp in LSs, nope. have no idea what I'm talkin about. Thats new one on me, I have yet to hear about coyote's takin a dump round 600hp. Actually, I've heard the opposite, that it has an even higher stress limit than the older 4v cobra motor.

It quite obvious that everyone on this forum knows a LOT, some more than others. I've seen these conversations blow outta proportion all too often, it quickly becomes a d&%k measuring contest, who's got the bigger gun. I know I know a lot, I have no doubt you may know a lot. how bout we agree that we both know a lot(I know what your thinkin, that I'm conceding in fear of losing, quite the contrary, just don't feel like arguing).

greatest OHV engine? thats opinion. but I'll take your opinion, recognize its an opinion, and respect it.
