Rear end ?

I have a 2000 v6. What size is the rear end from side to side? What year 8.8's will fit? I may have found a rear end out of a 94 gt with 3.27's will that work?

Pretty sure only 99-04 rears will fit your 2000 because the 99-04 are longer than the other older rears

A 94 rear end will fit but since the 99-04 are longer you will need spacers or else the wheels will sit way inside the fender.

99-04 mustang read ends are 3/4 of an inch longer on each side compared to a 94-98 rear end. A total of 1.5 inches shorter

Ok cool so if I got a 94-98 8.8 and put 1.25 inch spacers on it would give me a little bit of a stance/wider look.

Yes that is correct. The spacers along with the 94-98 8.8 will look perfect. I completed a 04 rear end swap to a 97. It is indeed 3/4th of an inch wider on both sides.

Everything bolts up exactly the same. You might need an impact though. And I would definitely recommend a lift, if not. It'll be a long day. The swap took me 3 hours.
