Deck lid help

I have a 97 mustang and I was wandering if there's any way possible to somehow switch out the rear bumper area with one off of a 99 model because I just like them better and I think they look a lot meaner. I mainly just want to figure out how to get mine to have the more squared off area around the trunk and tail lights. I know it's a bit of a long shot and I won't be surprised if it's impossible but if anybody knows any way or has the same thoughts please reply.
Below are pictures of mine (left) and the look I want (right)

I was looking between the two pictures and was wandering if replacing the bumper and trunk lid and tail lights would basically give me that look and of so is it possible to make that work?

I wouldn't think so because you'd have to change out the rear quarter panels and doors, pretty much the whole body unless you don't mind things not lining up or are willing to shape things to fit

So basically for me to make it look good I would have to replace the entire body...? Well damn...

Yeah pretty much because from 94-98 they had the rounded body and 99-04 they had that major body change from the sn-95 to the new edge so the 95's were round the the edges were squared so either whole body or new car?

You would not have to replace the whole body, but swapping the deck lid would take lots of custom fab work (aka $$$). Swapping the bumper might not take as much but it would still be a considerable amount.

I would maybe consider this but I can't find anything online of people doing this so I have no guides or anything. You wouldn't possibly know of anything that talks about this online would you?

Heres a guy who adapted and modified a Vette lower valence on to his 95 gt rear bumper cover.
Not exactly the same, but you can kind of get some idea of the type of work modifying the bumper might take. Not sure what page it starts on, but lots of other good stuff to read too.
