Body Kit

I would really like some peoples opinion on a body kit for my 97 v6. I found one that I like but I just want to know if anyone knows of any better ones that I could look in too. I'll attach a picture of the one that I have found. Let me know what you think. Click image for larger version

Bumping your post with some body kit pics haha

Mine is a Razzi kit, they came with the Pony package you could buy with the 99-04's. Or just 00s, I'm not sure. Anyway, this is my 2000 v6.

Actually, you wouldn't be able to use that kit on a 94-98 mustang. The body styles are slightly different, and they wouldn't fit.

And personally man, I wouldn't go with a body kit. Some people like them, but I think they're just kinda cheesy. If you post some pics of your car, I could tell you what (I think) would look cool for a paint scheme.

@OfficialMakkyZ I will admit though, that is a pretty mean looking car. Love the black on red, man!

Here's the only picture that I have of my car right now. I just really want something to make it look more like a muscle car than just a regular old v6... Click image for larger version

I see what you mean. Needs a little spice? I'd try some racing stripes, or maybe some Elenor stripes like in the pic below.

Maybe try to find a Saleen spoiler, or if you're really dead set on the body kit, Saleen body trim pieces.

Otherwise, if you don't like the stripes or kit, try some Boss stripes. Those look sick 100% of the time. And if you want to go a bit more over board, paint the side skirts, spoiler, and rear deck lid the same yellow as on your side badging. Or paint those trim pieces and side badging white. Personally I love white on black.

Again, all my opinion. Do whatever makes your car look how you want. that's what matters, brother.

Oh! And maybe try some aftermarket headlights and blacked out tails. Those look pretty nasty too.

I really appreciate your thoughts but when you say paint the deck lid what do you refer to cause the 94-98 models don't really she a deck lid like in the picture below. Like what part would you paint a different color?Click image for larger version

Aah crap. I forgot that the 94-98 mustangs don't have that nice crease on the deck lid... Hmm. Well, I've never seen it done on your model, but you could try to replicate the deck lid mods on the 99-04 on your car that you see all the time. It would certainly be unique. Try to ms paint on it maybe, see how it looks. Otherwise skip it.

I've actually looked into retro fitting the back end of like a 2000 model onto mine just so I can get that nice deck lid and squared off bumper

Like this, btw.

And ooh that'd be hard to do. I've seen it done ONCE, and it turned out... Okay. I don't know. I think it mixes too much of the old muscle of the 94-98 with the new sports style of the 99-04.

I just don't really think I have the time or tools or MONEY to try to mess with that whole bumper and I'm like you I think it would mix too much and just look pretty junky so that's why I turned to the body kit to give it more of a sharp look

I feel ya, man. Again, maybe play with Saleen style rear bumper and side skirts. They look different, but not over the top. Also, if you really really want to commit to it, you could try to make a Saleen body clone. XD it would look pretty baller.

I'm definitely gonna be looking into a lot of different body styles and just different little things to make it look better plus I have a few months until I start to drive it anyways. But my first priorities would be a paint job and window tints but after that I am just gonna experiment until it looks how I want it too.

Haha I wish! That's a true '98 Saleen Mustang. Super rare, and super cool. However, they sell body kits for normal mustangs to give them that edge. Look into them, they're really cool.
