solid roller lifters, pushrod 5.0 lifters in V6??

As soon as my grandfather sells a truck he has, he said he'd split the money with me and my dad and he'd just keep the money he invested in it.

so I'm looking to re-do my the top of my engine.
Cam, lifters, pushrods, rockers, springs etc...
I'll also be looking into split-port conversion finally, I have a salvage yard around here I'll check out.

I read that you can use solid roller lifters on a hyrdraulic cam.
Solid Rollers On Hydraulic Cams - Hot Rod Magazine
I also read that the pushrod 5.0's and our V6's can interchange lifters.

So I'm thinking I'll just buy some good 5.0 lifters.

I want to do it all at once, so I might be buying car parts for a few months until I have everything.

I always do my research on this stuff. I'd hate to buy the wrong parts

I only have one question ?????????????????????????

I can see no reason for doing this unless you are going to have a cam built that may need something like this.

There are way better ways to get the power up and that would be a Turbo or a pro-charger. Even a lower gear ratio will be a better option.

Yeah what he said^^ build around the car first then to into the engine. The split port conversion is most important, thats 40hp. Then gears gears gears. They are quite awesome. It seems as tho you already have the 8.8 rear end from what I read on another topic. So all you need is a gear set and a bearing kit! I love my 4.10s so much
