My explorer, similar year, had a connector issue for the driver window regulator. Try cleaning up the connection?

You know that warm and fuzzy feeling? That means something bad is about to happen...

They had a recall on our year mustangs for the windows. Only fix is taking it to a dealership and they put a while new window and frame and stuff in it. About 220 to fix just one....

No didn't even go to the dealership I mean idk if they'll do it for free since it was a recall or they'll charge you 500 to do it. I went to a local place. Did a good job but now I have problems with the plastic pickin out an they scratched the paint behind the door panel...... But at least my window rolls up now and doesn't smack the top of my car when I close it

Well hopefully it's just the motor. If it's the motor you can do it yourself but if it's off tract and comes loose from the rest of the door then you'll have to go my route.

If it's the motor then it'll be a quick fix. Take one from the junk yard and put it in yours. Real easy to do.

Also all you might have to do is just hit the motor and it may start working fine again. Sounds still but it works

Same thing just started happening to me. Goes down, then later on won't come up. I'm starting off by replacing the switch .

Well the reason I figure it's the switch is because when I unscrew the two screws that attach the switch to the door panel thing, lay on the switch and the wires under the switch start getting really hot. So if this doesn't work I'm trying the motor next.

Replaced motor and switch, turned out it was a bad regulator of course. At least I'm prepared for when the passenger side goes out.
