HELP..Horrible popping/groaning noise when I turn...

98 Mustang. 130k. So I've had some issues for a while now which are high steering wheel vibration at speeds greater than 55 and when I apply my brakes the car pulls heavily to the right. Now today there is a new issue...there is a horrible noise coming from the right side when I turn either direction. I can only describe it as a popping/clicking/groaning noise. It makes this noise whether I'm in motion or sitting still while turning the wheel. What the heck is going on?? I am mechanically inclined but I don't know the proper names of the steering/suspension system. HELP!?

Had the same symptoms when my ball joints went out on my GT. Car would pull right on some roads while driving and higher speeds. Then once they finally went completely bad, it started with the deafening screeching and popping during turns and over bumps. Might be the culprit.

If not that you may need to get it aligned. Mine would have a terrible sound when I turned too and found it was way out of alignment.

Popping when turning could also be front sway bar bushings. Crawl under there and see how they look.

Glad everything worked out for ya, man. Nothing feels nicer than new suspension components.

Right ball joint replaced today cured the screeching noise and pulling to the right when braking. Also, steering feels smoother. The pulling to the right problem started well before the noise.
