03 V6 Convertible top insight

Hello everyone, I need some insight regarding my convertible top, it goes down pretty quick but when it's time to come up it literally needs two people on each side to pull it up, the previous owner told me it's the motor may help will be greatly appreciated

You got to put transmission fluid in your convertible motor. It's behind the rear seats.

Definitely a motor issue. If you and/or the previous owner have been letting the top up/down for a while despite the malfunction, it's possibly going to need replacing rather than repairing. Never tried the transmission fluid thing, but it's worth a shot. That's a good tip to keep in mind if I ever experience probs with mine!

It's not a hard job, had to do this to mine too. Worked 100% better after adding fluid. It can be difficult getting the fluid in though, so be patient and keep trying.
