If my MAF sensor is contaminated with a little bit of oil from a new K&N CAI, would that cause the car to start hard? When the car is cold I have to pump the gas a little to get it to actually light up. Once it's on its runs fine. I cleared the DTC after the install of the CAI but have not cleaned the MAF sensor, I'm also replacing the CVP valve.
Once the MAF sensor has been cleaned the car should go back to running normally after a few KM worth of driving, correct? Or is it time for a new MAF. there is 295,2000 kms on the motor and as far as I have been told the sensor is till the original. Thoughts?
