Question

I know the large one is a catalytic converter but what is the thing before it?Click image for larger version

Question

Exhaust headers are what connects the engine to the exhaust pipe. Second picture is a picture of your exhaust manifold/ header. Mid pipe is after the headers.

I know what is connecting the exhaust to the headers is im talking about the thing behind that and in front of the huge catalytic converter

I cant find the name of it but it looks like that model had pre cats on the car as well as the big catalytic converters. I see it a lot of imports but a lot of cars have the main converter under the car as well as pre converters closer to the manifolds.
