Hey fellas question was just getting my oil changed and guy said around the trans, the seals seems to be a little leak nothing major at all but he can notice it on the pan? Sure that's what he said but could be wrong. Anyone know about this? And for instance the cost of fixing that?

Also I notice when I give gas and accelerate I hear a noise that sounds like a fan but only when I accurate, never had a mustang so figures it's a fan in the engine that's winding when i give it a gas, I'll record the noise in a bit. But does anyone know if this is normal? Not really noticeable with music on

Uncle told me its what needed to convert the car into dual exhaust, its where the 2 dual pipes connect to. If so then that's once piece down needed for dual exhaust.
Before doing anything to do the exhaust gonna have to get this exhaust manifold fixed, its leaking and I believe mechanics told me its cracked. $600 for the job they said

Well im talking about getting true duals not what that muffler is for. And if ur manifolds are cracked (correct me if im talking about the wrong part) get some longtube headers.

Curb weight: 2,729 lbs to 2,944 lbs
assuming his version since its the fastest model has more in it therefore the heaviest is 2,944
mustang Curb weight: 3,064 lbs to 3,560 lbs
assuming since my v6 basic model, its about 3,064.
not much of a difference, but he swears he'll wreck my I'll stand no chance and I'll need a gt to beat him or 2008 v6

He's full of **** and drive a Kia so laugh at him for that. I'd ditch that muffler and go for true duels or a off road h pipe. Plus get long tube headers if there going to be fixing your Manafold. Shorty headers are worthless to put back in and not much of a difference in price.

They should fit as both use wheels with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern with a high positive offset. Best way to find out is to test fit them.

Basically lol i will let him live his dream with his kia. Not sure what to do fellas keep the car and put money into it or keep it, when i have the money for a v8 sell my v6.
Is the manifold urgent? I was thinking of just getting it fix with another stock since i dont have the money for the long tube. $600 this place is charging me to do the manifold.
If i get the flow master ill use get another when i go dual. So h pipe and flow masters for both pipes if it works that way.

Before doing this, make sure your state allows it. Also, how sure are you that you will have this car for some time. Long tubes, full duals, and other bolt-ons run up the bucks only to be lost when you try to sell the car to upgrade. Not trying to be a downer here, just a bit of friendly and experienced advice, but the 2001 is not the V6 to invest a lot of money into. Might be better to save your green and put it into a GT or an '11+ V6 later.

Welcome to the Mustang community and best of luck to you.

Is it your ride side or left side manifold that's bad? (More and likely the left because it's very common with these cars.) Do you hear a ticking of any sort coming from your manifold? And yes long tubes would help but your going to need a custom exhaust for longtubes. I personally have jba's shorty headers for my car and they sound great. And about the Kia, is it 179 from the engine or to the wheels? If it's 179 to the wheels sorry he's got you. Your car stock will make about 160-170 to the wheels. But if he's making 179 to the engine you should have him.

use the power drill kit by meguiars. works very nicely and wil probably clear it up nice. wet sanding beforehand will make em look brand new.

talk to him about his kia forte in 13 years and see if its not in a junkyard yet.

If you want more power, just clean this one up, make it easier to sell and easier to enjoy, and upgrade to the gt, and mod that. Theres still plenty of cars that will leave a 99-04 in the dust, but little kias and civics wont have any room to talk. But if you want a fun, modest car to enjoy for a while, your's looks very nice and you got it at a good price. Make sure you give it plenty of thought.
