Metal rubbing sounds and mystery patches?t

Hey on my 95 v6, lately I've been hearing what sounds lick a metal scraping, kinda like if you imagined a really strong pad of steel wool scratching on a vinyl record. Click image for larger version

I have a hunch that has to do with it but I can't truly confirm it as I could still hear the noise while looking at it.
And perhaps this next image plays any part of this.

I did not go through any kind of puddle to create that. Can anyone explain these things?

The last picture looks like you might have a leak in your extension housing rear seal don't worry there cheap and easy to fix with the first picture I would jack up the rear end by the axle and put it on jack stands then run your car in gear and look to see if it's rubbing the exhaust flange there even have some one revving the engine while your under looking at it because things move around they may not be touching while your just sitting there but when you get moving they might be.

1967 coupe 351w 5 speed dual exhaust long tube headers, 2000 v6 5 speed dual exhaust lowering springs drilled and slotted rotors, 2005 ford ranger single cab 3.0 under drive pulleys auto 8.8 rear end with 4.10 gears

You're right about the extension seal leak. I couldn't make that out on the parts list I was given. I had my tech buddy takes look and listen and that was among a few things. I'll jack the car up this weekend and do a look myself. Lol he said in addition to the leaking, a bunch of bearings and pulleys are making noise mixing into things..
