I got the Phillips x treme power and are not impressed. I have smoked headlights. I know they're not the best for light output but I just want to see well. What would be the next light you suggest ?

You're never going to see like you want out of smoked housings, even with a HID. You want to see well, get OEM headlights or a good replacement that isn't smoked. Plenty of them out there that are clear lens but have the insides painted black for the "smoked" look without the light restriction.

Just get projectors. I decided that my next mod is going to be retrofitted HIDs from SW lights. The retrofitted housing with a matte black inside is going to be $425, then i can add HIDs for $120.

Its not cheap like $150 headlights then $70 HIDs, but these are quality products put together by hand carefully. They aren't mass produced lights so they aren't going to be a hack job. And they will light the road like no other.

I've had stock headlights, then 2 sets of aftermarket lights. One really tinted set, and a slightly tinted set with red corners. Both of which got condensation in them, so i'm done with cheap headlights and crappy visibility.

I wish i would have done it right the first time. Would have been saving a lot of money. $600 for headlights may be expensive. But i wouldn't have had to have gone through a few sets of lights and then the covers for them when i got the condensation (main reason why i have headlight covers). And then more bulbs when the water inside the headlight made it blow up.

Do it right the first time.

These guys actually have really good prices. A similar set up from Yukes retrofits will be $700+. From HID Guy around the same price as Yukes. You can get a full set with custom black interior (makes it look dark so you don't need tinted lenses) for $585.

They are also the same company that is supposedly developing 13/14 style tail lights for the New Edge.

You can use cheap headlights, just get some silicone around them before you put them on, its not hard.

Did that. If the internal sealing is bad then sealing the outside of it with silicone won't do anything.

I honestly might have to put hid's in to be able to see until I can get a better setup. I couldn't see anything with these and I'm not taking my bumper off again to switch the lights out

If for some reason you have to. Get a quality HIDs set up. The SW lights HID kit works with or without the retrofits. And they actually do focus light a bit better than those cheap kits.

Kinda worries that they'll suck with output like any other ebay projector. I love hids but also like that blueish line with actual projectors. I'll still run in stock housings since a $600+ retro fit is bonkers
