Cluster problems?

Ok so I have a 99 and my odometer stays on even after I turn the car and pull the key out. Any ideas as to why this is happening? If I were to switch to a cluster I pull from the junkyard would it just swap right in? Help please. I believe it's draining my battery overnight.

Another cluster from 94-04 will swap right in that said it will probably end up being the switch rather than the cluster itself
