I have a 2002 v6 manual, I was thinking about adding a push starter to it. I just want the inside button, I don't care about having a remote start. Just wanted to get some advice on the best way to go about it. Also I wanted to ditch the key completely and install a kill switch under the dash. I would love anyone's thoughts/help.
The problem with AMs kit unless they got a new one in stock is it doesn't ditch the key in fact you have to have the key in the ignition for the button to work I went to a car audio shop and talked to them for mine they set the whole thing up kill switch and all for 150 bucks and it came with the remote start which is nice on those cold kentucky mornings.
You can wire the american muscle kit to not need a key but thats never recommended. Someone could easily break your windows and start your car and that'll be the end of it
That's actually why I love mine it has a chip that unless in the car keeps the car from starting it's actually really nice it's like the new teslas and their "keys"
