01 door speakers

My door speakers do not work but all my other speakers work. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know what it could be?

depends on whats going on. stock setup? stock head unit? if you wanna test if they work, then pull the door panel off, grab a AA battery, and connect the positive to positive, neg to neg, and you should hear some kinda of faint clicking buzzing or popping sound. means the connection is there. and that would lead to believe that the head unit isnt outputting the front channel. if no clicking or popping or buzzing, then the speakers blown. my stock 02 speakers werent blown but last year they were pretty worn out. if they are aftermarket, then it probably depends on the brand and their use to determine how long they last.

It might be my head unit then. I'll check it out. I know they weren't blown cause I tried to hook up new ones and they weren't getting power. Thank you

If you have Mach 460 sound system you could have a bad amp

Totally forgot about that. That could very well be it. If it is a mach stereo then you gotta replace everything with aftermarket or use only mach460 parts. The resistance (ohms) isnt standard on the mach system

Or bypass the amp and run new speakers

You can find the Mach 460 ones on eBay or at junk yards cheap. Personally I would run new amps and speakers, or even just speakers. I personally don't think you need Amps unless you're trying to make everything louder. If you want bass, put a subwoofer in. Door speakers, even kicker, will never compete with a real subwoofer
