Tune, you will need to be able to recalibrate your speedometer. If your planning on eventually doing both get the tune first, because if you get the gears first you would have to get a calibrator for your speedometer.

You can get gears first but plan on either getting a custom/dyno tune or a custom tune via handheld tuner soon after to properly calibrate your speedo.

When you do "gears" also plan on getting a tlok installed as this will distribute power to both wheels for improved launches and better traction. Expect to pay $300-500 for a solid install. Stick to Ford Racing gears as they been known to mesh the best over Motives.

If you get the gears first you won't have a way to adjust your speedometer. Get the tune first.

Automatic OR Manual??
An automatic will have to be dyno tuned after gear install. Only buy Ford Racing gears and friction modifier.
