Interior Remodel

Has any one successfully swapped interior pieces from one mustang to another? I have almost a complete interior from a 2001 GT I am looking to swap into my 99 V6.
Specifically, I am looking at replacing the center console, and complete stereo from the factory 2 deck system in the 99 to the factory 6 disk cd changer in the 01. Any issued that anyone has encountered would be appreciated very much. cheers.

I've swapped a Trans Am interior into a Camaro. It's not hard just be sure to be careful and take your time and fully understand how things come apart. if you start tearing things out then you will likely break clips and will have to come up with other ways to get things to stay in place without rattling or not fitting properly.

I totally understand. I had an 86 Parisienne as my first hand me down car. By the end that car was as much Caprice as it was parisienne.
I'm more interested in wether or not it has mounting holes for the cd deck in place of the current set up, and wether my cigarette lighter and trac switch will be able to be relocated to the new locations in the 01 parts without extending the wires.

Awesome. I'm hoping that the factory holes will work for the cd changer deck from the 01 to the 99.

That's really good to hear. Any idea on where I could get my hands on a headliner from a 01 with the sun glasses holder?

I've been in contact with all of the SGI salvage yards in Saskatchewan there are no mustangs of this model. I have come across some really awesome members of ME that have some available. Big thanks everyone.
