Exhaust issues

I am currently running stock headers, stock cats, i dont have a x or h pipe, down to a pypes bomb catback. At idle when the car has been revved or driven it creates this terrible popping noise that will only go away if the engine is cold. Would adding a h or x pipe get rid of the pop noise?
