new guy problems

I have had my 02 3.8 automatic for about 6 months and I am sick of the getting blown off the line by any and everyone. I have read alot of posts and alot of different things but I really just want to know where to start upgrading. I have some money to play with thats not the problem but what should I do to start?

You could try a complete exhaust upgrade. The engine breathes better, makes more power...
A forewarning, those engines don't make a lot of horsepower, but do make an impressive amount of torque.

Anytime, but your best performance gains with those engines are force induction...
Got a buddy that has a supercharged 3.8 with full bolt ons. It makes 350rwhp and 440lbs of torque at the tires, on 12lbs of boost. He's in the process of putting the 4.2 stroker kit in it with custom smaller pullies for the M90 supercharger.
Hopefully 375+Rwhp and 460 ft lbs at the tires with new mods. Plus the really cool thing is the supercharger screams like a bat out of hell...
V8 swap would be the better investment. He wanted to keep the v6 to make a point, that you can get power out of it. Plus the cars sentimental value to him is more with the v6, won't get into it long story.
