ISO t5 possibly t45

Need a new trans. Have a 00 v6. My question is what years can I pull a t5 from to swap it out? And will a t45 bolt up to my bell housing? I know I'll need a new clutch and flywheels setup for the t45 but just wondering if I can make it work.

The trans I'm running now I have a hell of a time getting into 5th. I was dumb about 3 years ago and ran the hex bolt out of the side of it, the one with a c clip behind it. Long story short something's not lined up in there. Cracked the case and fixed it best as possible but it's finally catching up with me. Reverse is just as hard to hit. I don't have a problem cracking it open again and fixing it, I'm just not sure what I would be replacing.

Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. A 50 dollar fix would be awesome, compared to spending 300 on another trans

Thanks!!!
Haydon

I have found the T5's running between $175 & $300 just do some searching. Craigs list or local wrecking yard is a good place. As far as a fix 5th and reverse are on the same shaft so it makes sense that they are both hard to get in to. If u were to crack open the case the parts are not that expensive. On the t45 I'm not sure, u might google it or check you tube for swap videos

So any t5 will work? I've got a buddy that has one out of a 88 foxbody. Should bolt up fine?

I'm pretty sure you will need the bell housing too I think the input shaft is about 3/4s of a inch shorter then the ones in the 94 up cars
