Catalytic converter going bad

One of my cats started to glow red. I know some of the symptoms is that a bad spark plug it spark plug wires are going bad. A misfire can be cause of it too. I want completely remove my cats and go straight pipe. Will it be a problem for my car to run without my cats. I don't want to check for the bad spark plug.

Or it might be raspy because my OEM muffler has a small hole in it.

Since my cats are out. Will the problem of overheating my cats also affect my muffler? It's starting to make rattle noise

Possibly. I would go ahead and get rid of the muffler or put a cat on until upgrade.

since my cats are eliminated, is it normal for my car to throw smoke out of the tailpipe. I've notice that it's throws smoke. It's not a lot but when I accelerate it leave some smoke behind. Or when at idle.
