Hello. So, I don't know how to introduce myself so I'll just start with I own a 2003 v6 Yellow Mustang. This is my baby haha. I'm 19 and I work a full time job making fire places. This mustang is COMPLETELY stock for performance wise because I'm not good with cars enough to do alot on my own. I make more then enough money to do almost anything to this and that's where I question myself. Why customize my v6 mustang with hundreds to thousands of dollars instead of going and buying a v8? But, I'm in a stupid loan.
On the day I got this mustang their was a GT sitting right next to it but it had 30,000 more miles it was silver and convertible.. I regret my decision now almost two years later but we move on.
Now, I have a like 600$ shopping list for a whole new muffler setup going from long tube headers down to the tip. I'll try to find the list for you guys cause all and any tips would obviously be helpful.
Also, I don't know if anyone has this but I would love a actual price list or something. I've found a page on your forum that had everything suggested to modify my stang and I could look up the prices myself but I don't know much about modding vehicles so I'm no good on my own.
Well, I know this thread is all over the place and I'm brand new on this forums but I look forward to your responses and thank you in advance!
More pictures coming once it's warm.

Modifying ur pony shouldn't b an issue just cus ur in a loan for starters. Second I personally believe doing a V8 is common! I mean who does v6's rite. On that note how cool would it be to line up with a modified GT and beat him just for him to ask what's under the hood and reveal a 6er?!?! There r a lot of mods that can b done that r less costly on a 6, just gota b willing to do the research
Now I know theirs alot of little things here and there. But, is the main big thing to throw some HP on is a supercharger? 5475$? Haha not including labor

I'm assuming the supercharger your seeing is the p1 pro charger. These cars can take about 7-10 give or take psi safely. Which is pretty fantastic. But what goals are you looking for? A 8.8 rear end with 3.73 or 4.10, gears a tune, dual exhaust, and cold air intake(for sound and looks mainly) will make a pretty peppy fun, and reliable car!
I wish I knew what you were talking about with those gears haha. I would love to just go fast. I know that's not very detailed but yeah. I have a list of things I need to buy for duals imma do long tube headers a off road H pipe. I was told to do x pipe but I heard those are better for the v8s. Then some cobra mufflers and tips I believe that was what I was gonna get. Their was some other little cheap things but I don't have the list with me.
I want to do limited slip but I can't find one for around 200$ anymore only 400+ on American muscle. Granted I didn't do much searching.
The supercharger was on American muscle the stage 2 one.

Also, superchargeing isn't needed it's just that extra boost haha I don't have 5k laying around so anyway to make my little v6 as loud and mean as possible for cheapest is awesome haha. But I do get around 600$ to just throw every month

You can make a 99-04 V6 Look & Sound Kick Azz !!! I did it. I'll post a pic. The exhaust...Buy 2-Hi Flow Cats, an X-Pipe, & 2-Glass Packs you want a mean sounding 6.
A Super Charger you can pick up on Craigslist for $300 if you get like an Eaton from a T-Bird.
The 3:73 Gears are usually in a stick & 4:10 gears usually go in an automatic. It's the Gears in the Rear Axel. Stock gears are too slow. You'll notice a big difference with gears done.
If you go Super Charger you'll want bigger Fuel Injectors too.
I've already built & customized 2 Mustangs...my 04 & my 94 & I'm currently doing my 08.
Do you have the 3.8L ?
Dude I honestly just fell in love with your 6xxer. Unfortunately I'm getting rid of mine because the cost to customize it to my liking is ridiculous. I decided to go with an 05 GTO, which should be here in the next month or so.
Thank you for the awesome response!! With that super charger.. just look for that or is their others that will work also? I so never thought about doing that

Yours looks sweet! I'm honestly a little more excited now. I don't know if I would have bought a super charger. But if I can get one for that price I can get one and soon

I'd have to do a search on Super Charged 3.8 Thunderbirds to get that info again. It's been a good 6 years since I messed with that. I got all involved in building a 5.0 Motor for my 94...Came out real sweet for a budget build. Now I'm on to the 08. It's actually like my 7th or 8th Mustang I've owned now. I tend to get them all fixed up & someone makes me a good offer so I sell & start over.
A few years ago I didn't know anything about cars. But I decide I was going to do it all myself & I got a whole lot of info from guys on this site & I used U-Tube Videos a Lot & a Chilton's.
Between the 3 I learned to build an engine from a bare block. I went out & bought a block in case I messed it up. I wasn't chancing it on my own car.
Hell of alot cheaper haha 4400 dollars cheaper to be exact gaga
