Is your 3.8 blown? If so a 2v is going to be the same or worse.

If your going to do a engine swap the best way to go is with a 4v. Those 4.6 2v are okay but the 4v just seem to love making power. You can get a 4v in a Lincoln Mark VIII for around $1000.

How much boost are you running? A 2v gt will be slower.

Huge difference I test drove all the v6s and fell in love with the 2v sound alone

Yes while the 99-04 2v's certainly aren't earth shattering, they are definitely quicker than the 99-04 3.8's. The torque is what really sets them apart. You just can't touch the torque the 2v makes with the 3.8 without FI. The pre 99 cars are about the same in power differences, except the 94-98 3.8's are anemic...145-150 bhp is competition for a Pontiac Sunfire (remember those lol)

And that v8 sound never hurts. If there's one thing a 2v is good for, it's sounding damn good with exhaust work.

I agree if you're looking into an engine swap I'd go 4V over 2V any day. But if you want to get into a completely different car GT's are out there for 4-8k.
