NEED HELP ASAP

I have a v6 auto basic mustang. I started it this morning and was making a weird sound. When I put it in reverse it grinded, and again into park then it died . Now it won't start. The lights all come on and radio. But when I turn the key nothing not even clicking. Any ideas? I know it's not the battery or relay.

Did you try to clean them? I guess next step would be to see if you got power to the starter. Not sure how/where to probe but all you need is a test light and find which stud on the starter is the power one and hook up the alligator clip from the test light to it and then touch the end to ground and have someone turn the key and see if it lights up

when you put cables on ,...have someone try n start it and you move the terminal ends in different positions to try to get a good connection.

Under the hood there is a fuse box with "ignition relay" listed for a few fuses. Check them.
Ground wires need checked, cleaned.
