Intake manifold runner control!!

My 2003 mustang 3.8l got a service engine light. Came out with being the IMRC. I looked at the part and it was completely off. Just got the parts to put it back on with upper intake manifold gasket. But i'm having a hard time taking off the upper intake manifold. Removed all the bolts and wires but it doesn't budge at all. Is there something i'm missing? I don't have the schultz manual.
