CAI question

What is this hose coming out of the top of my CAI and why isn't it attached to anything? I sometimes have a rough idle and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with it.

Intake was installed by previous owner

Not sure why it is there but it certainly won't help idle. If it does pull in air It is unfiltered and unaccounted for by the maf. Can you take a picture of the whole intake?

Looks like it was a nitrous shot and he took it out before he sold you the car. It absolutely needs to be plugged or removed and plugged. It's letting in unfiltered and unmetered air.

def cap it or better yet remove all the tubing and find a screw to screw into the port opening that hose is unsightly ...as far as nitrous i think not youd be using hard line not small
flex tubing(oxford5)

My guess is that there was once hose in that stupid looking tubing. Hey I've never run nitrous so I could be wrong. Maybe there was a meth kit on it. Something was added to that for some reason. Either way it's gotta go as we all agree.
